Equine craniosacral therapy is a gentle form of equine bodywork using light, specific touch around the skull, spine, sacrum, and body.
Sessions are unhurried and shaped around the individual horse.

THE WORK
Horses are remarkably adaptive.
They accommodate riders, training, old injuries, dental changes, hoof balance, equipment, repetitive movement, and the ordinary demands placed on their bodies.
Sometimes those adaptations resolve. Sometimes they become patterns the horse continues to carry.
Craniosacral work offers another way of approaching those patterns.
Rather than imposing movement on the horse, I work slowly with what is already present — following changes in tension, movement, tissue, and the horse's response to touch.
The work may involve the head and jaw, poll, neck, spine, ribs, pelvis, sacrum, or other areas of the body.
The horse determines the pace.

SESSIONS
A session begins with observation.
I look at the horse standing and moving, listen to the owner's concerns, and spend some time allowing the horse to become familiar with me before beginning the work.
The session itself is quiet.
Some horses remain attentive to everything happening around them. Others begin licking, chewing, yawning, shifting their posture, lowering their head, resting a hind leg, or becoming noticeably still.
There is no response the horse is required to have.
The purpose is not to make the horse relax or produce a particular reaction. It is to give the horse enough time and space for meaningful change to occur.

WHO I WORK WITH
I work with horses of different ages, disciplines, and backgrounds.
Owners often contact me because they have noticed persistent tension, asymmetry, sensitivity around the head or poll, difficulty settling, changes in movement or performance, or simply the sense that their horse has been compensating for something.
Craniosacral therapy does not replace veterinary diagnosis or treatment.
When a horse has an unexplained medical problem, acute injury, or significant change in behavior or performance, veterinary evaluation comes first.
I travel to barns throughout Los Angeles County and surrounding areas, including Pasadena, Altadena, Burbank, Glendale, Shadow Hills, Lake View Terrace, Sunland-Tujunga, and neighboring equestrian communities. If you are outside this range, just ask and we can see what can be arranged.

TRAINING
I am certified in Equine Craniosacral Therapy ECS1 and ECS2 with Maureen Rogers of Equine CranioSacral Workshops, This is in addition to my training in human Craniosacral Therapy via IPSB School of Integrative Psycho-Structural Bodywork and Tibetan Medicine via Sowa Rigpa Institute
I am particularly interested in the relationship between the cranium, jaw, spine, nervous system, and the adaptations that develop throughout the horse's body.
The work remains simple:
Observe carefully.
Use as little force as possible.
Give the horse time to respond.

BARN VISITS
I travel to barns throughout the Los Angeles area.
Because I work on location, equine appointments are arranged directly rather than through the human online calendar.
If several horses at the same barn are interested, sessions can be scheduled together.
